Can charm the lads frae frownin' O ?
Then let wha pines for heartie's peace
Come yont wi' me by Lunan O !
By Lunan O ! fair Lunan O !
For wha kens a kimmer sae braw, sae braw,
As the lass that bides by Lunan ?

Oh, what can cheer like the merry May-buird
I' the liftin' licht blithe-sounin' O ?
Yet nae lark, liltin', daur be heard
Wi' the lass that bides by Lunan O !
By Lunan O ! dear Lunan O !
For wha kens a kimmer sae blithe ava'
As the lass that bides by Lunan ?
